The 75mm Pack Howitzer Mark 1 was the light artillery of the allied airborne forces and widely used throughout the war, and was one of the few saving graces at Arnhem. This British did not dismantle and drop these by parachute as the American did, they preferred to keep them assembled enabling the gun to go straight into action by glider.
